Erago had come a long way, but he had to come here. After all it was the anniversary of his death. Eragon couldn't believe it, had it really be almost 4 years.
I know it is a sad occasion little one. You loved him very much and he you. And I think you still blame me for not letting you save him, but if I had let you go you would be dead to.
Eragon didn't really want to talk at the moment, so he just ignored her. He was too wrapped up in his own thoughts of despair. He was after all at the trace remnants of Garrow's old farm. He could not believe how much has changed, the wood work was completely gone now and grass had grown where the barn had once stood. The fields were over run with many weeds and the once drafty farm house was gone.
Eragon I know that you can hear me, stop ignoring me now! Saphira had said with more force than she actually meant. But, who could blame here, no one likes being igored. As she said this she moved a little closer to Eragon. I know it is hard for you but, I think that it is almost time to leave. We can't stay her forever.
Eragon was completely startled by her forceful voice. He was so deep in thought that he forgot about Saphira. Yeah I guess you are right, but let me do one last thing.
With that incentive he when over to a huge boulder that was in the middle of the fields. With magic he carved a wonderful monument to Garrow that would last to the end of time.
Eragon was pleased with his work. Even though it was simple he thought Garrow would have been pleased. After all Garrow was never one to brag or to show things off. He was totally lost in thought again as he returned to Saphira's side.

Here lies Garrow
Dedicated farmer, Friend and The only man
I, Eragon Shadeslayer, a dragon rider can truly call father
